It is upon us. Happy Halloween!

A few of us climbed Mt. Whitney over Labor day weekend. Very challenging and very rewarding. Instead of the typical route to the top, we headed up the Mountaineers route, which is essentially a straight shot to the top (see photos). I was not prepared for such a rigorous climb, and the altitude was very real, but we all made it. The basecamp, perfect weather, and lack of people made it totally worth it.
Did a nice backpacking trip with one of my best friends and his wife for 5 days a few weeks back. Nice to get away, get off grid, shoot some photos and just enjoy the outdoors. Sierra alpine lakes have been on my list to see for quite sometime, and we saw a few. - George
"Berkeley singer-songwriter Spellling makes beautifully layered, experimental pop tracks using just her keyboard, voice, and loop pedal, weaving compositions that evoke avant-pop artists such as FKA Twigs and Björk — East Bay Express"
This Friday! Happy to spread the word that there is a Spellling and Kohinoorgasm split, August 5th, at One Farm in West Oakland. Check out what is sure to be a good show.

Went back to Oakland last month to hang and I noticed some changes in the neighborhood. Here are some photos that I took of the same alley way on broadway in 2011, 2013, and 2016.
Dusting off some old stuff that never really got much attention back in the day. Tim invited me along to backpack the Lost Coast in October of 2013 with him and group of his friends. I shot all these pics then and never really did much with them. Tim's pictures from that trip are posted here. - George
Earlier this year, I got to spend my first weekend ever in New Orleans, LA. I didn't even get to scratch the surface, but it became my most favorite city I've visited in a long time. Here are some photos I made with my trusty rangefinder. Can't wait to get back.
I have a strange love affair with the Ocean, it scares the shit out of me but like a siren, is always beckoning for me to come near to gaze upon her beauty. Here are some various images from the last year of my slight obsession with large bodies of water.

Made it up to Mt. Tam earlier this year. I was given an old Leica Z2x P&S from the 90's. Super weird camera to shoot. Don't know if I'll keep it, but it was fun to hike with. – Tim
