I received this interesting info about a building that I like to visit via flickr. Pretty cool if its true: "This is the Press Wireless Radio Building located in the Napa-Sonoma Marsh. It was owned by the United Press and the building was used to collect and route information coming from satellites. Its reportedly the first location in the United States to receive communication from space and alerted the world to the existence of Sputnik when they accidentally picked up communication from the spacecraft." Thanks, Chris Hattich.

More quitting your job and biking across the USA
A few days ago, I posted that my buddies were headed out across the US of A on motorcycles, and that photo extraordinaire, Oliver Hutton was blogging it up. But I just noticed that my buddy JJ, who is on the trip, is also documenting the journey over at his blog. Check it out and watch them have a better summer than any of us.

Oakland Art Murmur – June
Every First Friday of the month, Oakland has an art walk downtown. I recommend it to anyone, but especially to those who have never been to Oakland before. Way fun to grab a bike, see the city, and see some artists arting.
