I just stumbled upon the flickr group, House Movers, San Francisco, by photographer Dave Glass. Great pictures from the late 70's of victorian houses moving around Western addition. –Tim

The Compound Gallery, Oakland
Here is my second attempt to make black and white images of local businesses that I find interesting. The Compound Gallery in Oakland is an art space that offers studio or locker access for ceramics, silkscreening, printmaking, woodworking, and letterpress for a monthly fee. I was really impressed by the active gallery space combined with the interdisciplinary facilities available. Here are a few black and white images that I made touring the gallery. A few cell phone snapshots made it in here as well.
beautiful gallery space. Here is the art of letterpress show that just finished
a really small gallery exists inside (actually rotates artists!)

above: the Artist & Gallery Owner, Lena Reynoso, and her Oakland persona series. I believe these are etchings done on letterpress

one of the coolest things that the compound does is their "Art in a box" campaign, which sends out a monthly piece of art by different artists to subscribers.
Thanks for letting me take a tour and shoot.
