Good 'ol Car Camping
We knew we were gonna have a good time when the attendee told us to keep the paddle boat overnight.

fishing supplies.

Late night boating equaled two cameras submerged. Totally worth it though, great weekend.

Last week, I went and checked out Audrey Erickson's show, "Meow I shall reign in blood" at 6allery.

showed up too early so I grabbed Tu Lan. Miss my old block!

Hugh leeman work up in the back.
good time hanging out at 6allery a bit, checking out a lot of cool cat illustrations, and listening to Slayer on repeat.
A few weekends back, BIT BY ZEUS had a table at this year's SFzinefest. Met a bunch of cool people and sold some zines.

tabled next to these rad gals, and no cash comics. Great company over the weekend

this dude liked our zine.

these girls kinda did. i guess.

Amy, from 1984 printing, who printed our zine, was there and had a sample copy of Issue #1 at her booth!

the zine reading room had some awesome old punk zine's on display.

Ended the weekend, donating a copy of issue #1 to the reading room. All around great event. See you next year!
Having a job on Mare Island makes for fun lunch breaks. I am using a mamiya 7ii and have really been enjoying the quiet click of film exposure. I shot expired Fuji Velvia 50. More to come soon. I use Light Waves for processing and recommend them for medium format film processing.

Got around to some photos that I took this summer. Sonoma Fourth, San Francisco business, and Hawaii. Here ya go.

We Want the World, a new zine from becethel based out of Australia. 40 pages, black & white digital print, bleed, stamp numbered. Really well put together zine with some really great imagery. Thanks Becethel!

BIT BY ZEUS will be at this year's SF ZINEFEST!!!. If you haven't picked up one of our zines, come by the weekend of Sept. 4th and 5th and say hi to the two of us, grab a zine, and check out a bunch of other great work.
It has been almost a decade since we learned about the now demolished Skaggs island. The once thriving naval base, is now a flattened landscape, which will soon be flooded and returned to its natural wetland state. We recently went to pay our last respects to such an inspirational spot.

Check out our shop to own the last documented account of Skaggs in all its decaying glory.
A few polaroids I snapped this weekend in the Richmond hills with my semi-functional sx-70 camera I bought at a garage sale a few years back. I hope to do a lot more projects with it.

I checked out an opening at nooworks gallery on valencia last saturday featuring works by Audrey Erickson, Hannah Stouffer, Kelly Tunstall, Jay Howell, Nate Hooper and Ferris Plock.

scored another sweet wallet also. Nooworks teams up with the artists from each show and makes limited apparel. Go check there store!
We were very excited to get an email from Alexander Binder last week announcing his new set of photos, "ALLERSEELEN." Really love the incredible mystery and total out-there-ness happening in every single photo. Check here for the complete set.

Made it to another awesome sketch Tuesday at 111 minna gallery this month. Started things off right, by snagging this great Jay Howell piece.

Jay working on the piece I bought, I couldn't be happier with it.

great artwork from local preschoolers.

casey gray, new show coming to white walls.

Raquel's take away for the night was this guy from Annie Galvin.

Met this couple visiting SF from Perth, who are moving to Vancouver next week. Check out their magazine RELATIVE.
He was very happy to get a Mike Giant original while in town.

Jason Vivona, Jay Howell colab. Was awesome

bought this zine from Mildred, lots of detail

Ended the night talking to this guy in the red and Fabian Molina, the artist that drew him. Great night.
Finally had time to scan some film. Here's some photos from the last couple of months. Shot with my Contax T2 and my recently sold Leica CL.

New songs posted on the Bodies of Water website. Really like Rise up be careful. And if you haven't seen this video from them, do yourself a favor.
These are photos from Mare Island taken from my point-and-shoot digital camera. Lots of cool reflections and focused light. Soon after we had arrived, the Vallejo police were there to escort us out. Hoping to catch copper thieves they sent us on our way after reviewing our drivers licenses.
